Some people like to create their own first-aid kits because they feel is will save them money or that they can piece together a more customized pack. However, a study completed by the NOLS Wilderness Medicine Institute, shows it’s quite a bit more economical to purchase a preassembled kit and refill it as you deplete your first aid supplies.
