The Sawyer Extractor Pump was Sawyer’s very first product, which came onto the market in 1984. The Sawyer Extractor Pump removes poison from snake bites, wasp and bee stings, and mosquito bites. The extractor pump acts as a vacuum, which provides the most powerful suction available to remove venom from the body by sucking it out the same cavity from which it was injected. Removing this venom can significantly improve treatment results, and the vacuum pump is more effective at doing so than other extractor devices like blades.
