Water Purifier System for Groups
Water Purifier Bucket Adapter System
Filtering and purifying up to 170 gallons of clean water per day, the Sawyer Point ZeroTwo Bucket Purification System is an ideal addition to your emergency preparedness kit for use during disasters such as floods, hurricanes, and earthquakes. It’s also great for adventure travel where potable tap and bottled water are not easily carried or safe to drink.
With its 0.02 micron absolution filtration, the Point ZeroTwo goes one step beyond Sawyer’s MINI and Point ONE filters to remove 99.997% of viruses in addition to 99.99999% of bacteria and 99.9999% of protozoa/cysts.
This powerful, lightweight Purification System has an output of 1 liter per minute when used as a gravity system with a bucket (not included) — no pumping, chemicals, or electricity required. It also comes with a faucet adapter.
How It Works
Water for All
To set up the Point ZeroTwo Bucket Purification System, first find a large container to fill with water (such as a standard 5-gallon polyethylene bucket, not included). Use the included drill bit to cut a hole 1.5 inches from the bottom of the container. Install the adapters onto the bucket, connect the hose, and snap it into the Point ZeroTwo filter. Then hang the filter onto the side of the bucket with the included hanger.
Fill the bucket with lake, stream, river, well, borehole, tap, or rain water. To start water flowing, simply lower the filter down below the opening on the bucket and let gravity do the work. You’ll be able to filter up to 170 gallons of fresh, clean water per day. To stop filtering, just hang the Point ZeroTwo from the top of the bucket.
0.02 Micron Absolute Filtration
Our water filters contain a high number of tiny ‘U’ shaped hollow fiber micro-tubes that trap contaminants while allowing decontaminated water to freely pass through at a high flow rate — eliminating the need to store water and reducing the possibility of water contamination after the filtration process.
Certified for 0.02 micron absolute filtration, the Point ZeroTwo Purifier has no pore size larger than 0.02 micron in size — enabling it to remove 99.997% of viruses (exceeding EPA and NSF recommendations). It also effectively removes harmful bacteria (like salmonella), protozoa, or cysts like E. coli, Giardia, Vibrio cholerae, and Salmonella typhi.
A Lifetime of Clean Water
The Point ZeroTwo Purifier’s filtering membranes are sturdy enough to withstand backwashing using the included syringe, restoring up to 98.5% of the filter’s flow rate.
The Point ZeroTwo system can be cleaned and reused almost indefinitely with no expensive cartridges to replace… ever. We recommend backwashing and sanitizing the filter after every outing for optimized use.
Fully field maintainable, the Gravity Purification System includes a faucet adapter for a more thorough backwash when you get back home.

The Sawyer filter removes taste that comes from bacteria, dirt, and green matter.
The Sawyer filter does NOT remove iron, sulfur, other chemicals, or simple compounds. Taste can be masked by using flavor additives like Gatorade or crystal light (filter needs to be cleaned immediately after using them).
The Sawyer filters are not made with charcoal. While other portable filters have charcoal, they lack in amount of media and adequate dwell time. Therefore, they only remove small amounts of heavy metals, pesticides, etc. (when used in real life applications). Try using better sources of water, if possible.
We have independent lab tests using EPA protocols and information about our filters and their warranties available on our Downloads Page.

Before initial wetting
Filter is safe from freezing temperatures if it has never been wetted.
After initial wetting
While there is no definitive way to tell if a filter has been damaged due to freezing, Sawyer recommends replacing your filter if you suspect that it has been frozen.
If you are in freezing temperatures, we recommend that you store your filter in your pocket or close to your person so that your body heat can prevent freezing. THERE IS NO WARRANTY FOR A FROZEN FILTER.
