Sawyer is proud to be partnering with Wine to Water, an organization founded by 2009 CNN Hero Doc Hendley. In 2003 Doc dreamed up the concept of the organization, while bartending and playing music in nightclubs around Raleigh, North Carolina. The first fundraiser was held in January of 2004 and by August of that year Doc was living in Darfur, Sudan installing water systems for victims of the government supported genocide. Fast forward to 2014, Wine to Water has worked in 17 countries. We have ongoing projects in 8 countries on 4 continents, and support thirty international aid workers.
