Hometown: Elkhorn, WI
I am an Adirondack 46er (climbed all 46 peaks in the NY State over 4k feet). I have been hiking, running and exploring the outdoors with my two rescue dogs for the past 12 years. We relocated from Upstate New York to the PNW last year to further our adventures and take advantage of all the PNW has to offer outdoor enthusiasts. With my dogs we have travelled to 28 states and 9 national parks and we recently bought a sprinter van and are going to transition into the vanlife fulltime.
Favorite Sawyer Product and Why:
I have two – the sawyer mini filter and the Picaridin Insect Repellent. I love the mini filter because it is SOOOOO handy on backpacking trips and day hikes – I have used it so many times when I never thought I would need it and I am so grateful to have it in my pack. The bug spry… wellllll. I can imagine you know why that is my favorite too. Haha. Those pesky bugs in the spring and summer.
Favorite Outdoor Location:
Currently the North Cascades. It changes frequently. 😉
One Piece of Advice or Something You've Learned Spending So Much Time Outdoors:
Take time to slow down and appreciate the steps along the way. It isnt always about an objective or a destination but the journey itself getting there. Make sure to appreciate all the reasons you are outside in the first place.
