Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great product! I've used one of these for years. I am allergic to yellow jacket stings and this has saved my bacon a couple of times. It has also been handy for use on the kids when they've run afoul of stinging critters.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Saved my skin Purchased this product at the beging of summer for camping and around the farm just in case. Was a little skeptical about it how well it would work but figured it was worth the money to try it. Last Saturday i put my arm down on a brown recluse and it bit me. I killed and kept the spider and have confirmed 100% it was a brown recluse. With in five minutes of the bite i remembered the snake bite kit and applied it. Sunday morning the bite mark was red, swollen and the fang marks were very well pronounced in the center, but mostly from the suction and never any pain other than the initial light sting when bit; other than that it seemed fine. Tuesday morning while at the dentist we discussed my bite and he said even though it looks great I should still talk to my doctor about it. I took his advice went to urgent care at the VA and the provider there said it looked great for a brown recluse bite and the snike bite kit must have worked. Its now Wednesday 4 days after bite and all i have left are two small red spots from the fangs. This is a remarkable product that has saved me a lot of pain and agony and trips to the doctor. I cant promise it will save your life if a snake bites but it definatly isn't going to kill you.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from It Sucks I demonstrate this device when I present Red Cross Wilderness First Aid training.  It's the only snake bite device to use mentioned in the materials.  I like it because it is so light and very visible, making it easy to carry and find in a pack.  It creates quite a suction to suck out the venom right out the hole it went in.  I've fortunately not needed to use it myself - yet.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Really works I'm a beekeeper and have had this device for years. I have used it for an occasional bee sting and after removing the bee's stinger I use the Extractor to remove the venom. Last fall I was stung multiple times at once by some aggressive bees. The Extractor removed the venom from all the stings well enough I had little swelling or effect from all those stings. I don't leave home without the Extractor.
